People's Electrical Appliances River Protection Group Launches Ancient Canal Cleanup Campaign to Build a Blue Sky and Clear Water

On November 20th, the River Protection Group of People's Electrical Appliances Group organized more than 20 members to carry out a river patrol and protection campaign along the Ancient Canal. The team cleaned up garbage and maintained the environment along the Liushi Town section of the canal, practicing the concept of ecological civilization with corporate responsibility.
During the activity, members of the River Protection Group, equipped with cleaning tools, carefully picked up garbage along the banks and cleared hidden hygiene corners. As an important watercourse flowing through Liushi Town and Beibaixiang Town, the Ancient Canal undertakes multiple functions such as regional flood control, farmland irrigation, and ecological regulation. Its water quality and coastal environment are directly related to the production and living quality of 9 villages along the line. By taking practical actions to respond to the call of "Five Water Treatments" (a Zhejiang provincial initiative for water environment improvement), the members demonstrated the social responsibility and environmental enthusiasm of People's Electrical Appliances employees.
As the first private river chief organization initiated by a private enterprise in Wenzhou, the River Protection Group has adhered to the tenet of "Party building leadership, corporate responsibility, and public participation" since its establishment in May this year, focusing on the ecological protection of the 10.06-kilometer section of the Ancient Canal in Liushi Town. Currently, the group has established a regular patrol and protection mechanism. Members actively participate in the maintenance of rivers in and around the industrial park during daily work to keep the environment clean at all times. The team uses the "Green Water Coin" mini-program to record river protection activities, encouraging widespread participation and forming a sound pattern of "enterprise self-governance + social co-governance".
People's Electrical Appliances Group will continue to give play to the demonstration and leading role of the River Protection Group, deepen publicity and education on water area protection, drive more employees and the public to participate in river management, jointly guard the clear water of the Ancient Canal, and contribute corporate strength to the ecological civilization construction of Yueqing City.
